COLORADO POLICE OFFICERS ARE LEAVING IN DROVES3
- Police officers across the state are experiencing record low morale
- Officers are resigning left and right
- Response times have gone through the roof leaving victims waiting for help
- Weiser’s policies are fueling a staffing crisis
Weiser teamed up with the Defund the Police movement
and tried to give criminals a “Get Out of Jail Free Card”
- Liberal activists want to defund Colorado’s police and create an “autonomous community-led, non-law enforcement institution” 4
-
Weiser and Defund the Police activists supported a bill that would
have kept felons out of jail.
- SB21-62 which would have prohibited arrests for many of the crimes contributing to Colorado’s crime surge, including car theft, burglaries, riots, destruction of private property, theft of up to $100,000, and more. 5
- This law would have revictimized individuals affected by crime and instilled the sense among suspected felons that accountability is optional. 6
