Talking to Denverites

The Gazette has a great piece this morning about how conservatives need to learn to talk to the new Denverites. Worth a read. The Governor and the Colorado Energy Office just awarded a company $10.33M to build 33 electric car charging stations. I hope they're really nice for that price tag. Senator Jack Tate has decided

Mr. Plow

Looks like Cory Gardner has a different solution to deal with student loan debt. One that is much more reasonable than Jared Polis' "cancel it all" plan. Democrats swooped in and fired the state Senate non-partisan staff the DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. Now they're trying to walk it back-ish.  The state needs more snow plow drivers.

The more the merrier

Cory Gardner has his first official Democrat opponent. Good. The more Dems in that primary the better. Oil and gas has only just begun to fight.  Steve Schuck makes some great points about how our education system must start innovating.

Pulling Punches

Jared Polis says he wants a 3-5% decrease in the state income tax? Hadn't heard that one on the trail, but we'll be interested to see if he follows through with that.  Jared Polis in Congress advocated for canceling all student loan debt and the issue is back in the news - what will his philosophy

Party with Tesla

A letter from Senator John Cooke to the AG's office is requesting an investigation into Hickenlooper's trip and tour of Tesla right before the implementation of new emission standards. There is some hope on the horizon for Colorado conservatives if we can pull it together on the messaging front.  Changes are afoot in Colorado's mental health

First Steps

The FIRST STEP Act is getting a lot of national attention. Why was Polis part of the small minority who opposed it and what does that mean for Colorado Corrections? I guess Perlmutter will support Pelosi after all. #shock Bad news for Adams 14 - this could get ugly. We just hope people keep their eyes on

Candy

All eyes are on the races for House leadership in DC. It's getting meaner . . . with candy? I never thought I'd be sending you anything from the Aurora Sentinel, their editor is basically a Democrat blogger, but even their Ed Board realized the wave in Arapahoe did some real damage. What kinds

Who made you the arbiter?

Why, exactly, is it that the Southern Poverty Law Center has become the arbiter of what is or is not a hate group? Are they measuring that fairly? Clearly, some groups are, but if you label everyone with whom you disagree a "hate group" it ultimately diminishes the effectiveness of the label. Latino voting rates are way

Next

Time to start thinking about our next steps Well now that it's been a week now is a good time for us to start looking forward, most importantly looking toward Cory Gardner's re-election race in two years. Let's go, team! The Colorado Auto Dealers are concerned about what California regulations could do to consumer car
