U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders stumped for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jared Polis at the University of Colorado Boulder on Wednesday before heading north to Fort Collins to do the same at Colorado State University.

Sanders calls himself a Democratic socialist, but the independent senator from Vermont caucuses with the Democrats in Congress, and he ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.
