Gov. Hickenlooper should match actions with his words

DENVER (January 9, 2013) — Today, Kelly Maher, executive director of Compass Colorado, released the following statement on Gov. John Hickenlooper’s “State of the State” address:

“Governor Hickenlooper continually calls to rise above politics and partisanship, but his actions thus far have not shown he’s committed to what he says. The Governor hasn’t stood up to the unchecked controlling extremism from his own party. In the last legislative session he refused to veto even a single bill put forth from the Democratically-controlled legislature.”
