Last day of legislative session!
- One final surprise – a bill to try to create some equity for charter school funding finally broke loose of the legislative log-jam, much to the chagrin of the teacher’s union types.
- The way that open primaries will be implemented is still the topic of serious discussion.
- The Boulder Valley Schools Superintendent was fired, with no clear reason for his dismissal after the results of an “independent investigation”. Sounds like drama. The people showing up at the meeting with signs to protest the decision tells us that there’s probably a story there . . . of course, it seems like Boulderites like protesting more than most.
