DENVER — In 2014, controlling Californian and environmental extremist Tom Steyer dropped millions of dollars in Colorado in a failed attempt to bolster former U.S. Sen. Mark Udall’s struggling campaign. After Steyer’s devastating loss, groups supporting his radical agenda, including Conservation Colorado and NextGen Climate, never went away.
According to a new study released by Complete Colorado, these Steyer backed organizations not only kept their doors open, but are already spending hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in Colorado in an attempt to elect radical environmentalists in 2016.
Kelly Maher, executive director of Compass Colorado, released the following statement regarding Complete Colorado’s study:
“It’s clear controlling Californian Tom Steyer doesn’t understand Colorado or the people who call this great state home. Energy development is a cornerstone of our state’s economy. As Coloradans, we understand that we can develop our state’s resources in a way that protects the environment and creates good paying jobs.
“As Mark Udall learned in 2014, candidates who associate themselves with Tom Steyer and his radical, job killing agenda will have a difficult time earning the trust of Colorado voters.”
