DENVER — Government inefficiency was on full display Monday night at Denver International Airport.  On one of the busiest travel days of the year, the Transportation Security Administration had only one security lane open, making weary travelers wait for up to three hours in line, causing many to miss their flights.  

“TSA’s blunder is just the latest example of how inept the government is,” Kelly Maher, executive director of Compass Colorado, said.  “Unfortunately, anyone who has had to go through TSA screening, wait in line for a driver’s license, or purchase health insurance on the Obamacare website, knows this all to well. Now, the same people who brought you the DMV want to be in charge of your healthcare.”   

In October, Democrats submitted the required number of signatures to put ColoradoCare on the 2016 ballot. If passed, the measure will make Colorado the first state in the nation to have single-payer, government run healthcare. 

“If you like TSA, if you think the DMV is efficient and well run, then you’re going to love ColoradoCare, especially if you want to see your taxes raised,” Maher said.  

The legislation will not only take away important healthcare decisions from patients and their doctors, but it will  all healthcare decisions to a government board raise payroll taxes by 10 percent, and double the state’s budget to create a government run, single payer health care system in Colorado.
