Where In The World Is ‘No Show Joe’ Miklosi?

(GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO) – Last week, state Rep. Joe Miklosi (D-Denver) ditched work and skipped town to head to Washington, D.C. for a fundraising trip that supposedly netted his congressional campaign $40,000. According to The Denver Post, Miklosi’s fundraiser was held in a posh town house on Capitol Hill and was attended by Reps. Ed Perlmutter (D-Golden), Jared Polis (D-Boulder) and Diana DeGette, a fellow Denver Democrat.

“‘No Show Joe’ Miklosi would rather attend Washington fundraisers than actually perform the job voters elected him to do,” said Tyler Q. Houlton, president of Compass Colorado. “Maybe Joe Miklosi should use some of his campaign earnings to pay back taxpayers for the days of work he missed.”

Not only did Joe Miklosi miss important committee meetings, he also missed the final votes on HB 1238, a bill aimed at improving child literacy rates, and HB 1111, a voter identification bill.

“It’s a sad day when a professional politician like Joe Miklosi puts his political ambitions ahead of childhood literacy,” said Houlton.

This isn’t the first time No Show Joe has missed work. Please view a handful of committee pictures below.
